Flutterwave, Africa’s leading fintech company, is accelerating business growth in Cameroon with fully licensed digital payment services. Now officially authorised by the Central Bank for Central African States, Flutterwave provides a secure and compliant platform that empowers businesses of all sizes to streamline their financial operations.

Through a strategic partnership with Ecobank, Flutterwave has secured the necessary payment license to operate in Cameroon. This regulatory approval ensures that businesses using its services can trust in the legality and security of each transaction. Whether a local shop in Yaoundé or a multinational company, Flutterwave’s tools simplify payments, payouts, and financial management.

Operating in 34 African countries and powering transactions for brands like Uber and Netflix, Flutterwave’s expansion in Cameroon represents a major step toward seamless cross-border commerce and inclusive growth in Central Africa.

Flutterwave enables Cameroonian businesses to accept payments through popular channels like mobile money, cards, and bank transfers — all without investing in costly infrastructure.

For example, a boutique can share a payment link via WhatsApp, a restaurant can issue invoices with built-in payment options, and a logistics company can pay staff and suppliers from one dashboard.

International businesses also benefit. E-commerce platforms can collect payments in local currencies, manage refunds, and stay compliant with regional regulations. Streaming services can reach new customers without integrating multiple systems. With built-in fraud protection, reporting tools, and local support, Flutterwave eliminates the traditional complexity of operating in Central Africa.

“By offering secure and accessible payment solutions, we’re creating real opportunities for businesses here to scale and succeed”, CEO Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola said. He added that Flutterwave’s mission goes beyond technology — it’s about fostering long-term partnerships and economic growth in the region.

Bode Aregbesola, Senior VP for Sales, West Africa, highlighted Flutterwave’s practical understanding of the African business landscape, noting that the company is helping enterprises of all sizes expand with confidence.
