Ripple, a top crypto-enabled payment solution, has announced a new partnership with Chipper Cash, to enhance seamless payments across Africa.

With this partnership, both payment platforms will facilitate faster, more affordable, and efficient money transfers on the continent.

Also, the partnership will help reduce transaction time and costs, significantly improving the efficiency of financial flows into Africa.

Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at Ripple, Reece Merrick spoke about the new partnership, noting that “Consumers and businesses in Africa are increasingly recognizing the benefits of blockchain technology. Through this collaboration, we aim to provide a seamless, cost-effective cross-border payments solution, driving economic growth and innovation in the region,”

On his part, Co-Founder and CEO of Chipper Cash, Ham Serunjogi, harped on the transformative potential of crypto-enabled payments.

He said “We’re excited to harness the transformative potential of blockchain technology to enable greater financial inclusion, accelerate access to global markets, and empower businesses and individuals across Africa”

As the remittance market in Africa expands, financial technology companies and blockchain enterprises are emerging to address the shortcomings of conventional banking systems.

The collaboration between Ripple and Chipper Cash indicates a transition towards cryptocurrency-based remittances, potentially transforming the dynamics of monetary transfers into Africa.
