As part of Egypt’s commitment to deepening ties with African nations, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has welcomed a high-level delegation from the Bank of Tanzania (BOT), led by its Deputy Governor. The visit aligns with the joint cooperation program between the two central banks, aimed at fostering knowledge exchange in digital transformation, FinTech, and payment systems.

CBE Deputy Governor Rami Aboulnaga received the Tanzanian delegation, reaffirming Egypt’s dedication to strengthening regional collaboration by sharing its pioneering experience in digital banking services. He highlighted the technological advancements that have significantly enhanced financial transactions and accessibility for citizens.

During their visit, the delegation was briefed on CBE’s efforts to align with global trends in digital transformation, including FinTech, electronic payments, cybersecurity, and data science. They also gained insights into CBE’s strategic approach to regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and human resources management.

The visit underscores the strong and historic ties between the CBE and African central banks, particularly the BOT. It reinforces ongoing efforts to enhance regional cooperation and promote the exchange of expertise, further advancing financial innovation and economic integration across the continent.
