Meat production has achieved unprecedented growth, supported by improved infrastructure and regulatory policies.

Meat exports are expected to rise from 1,669 tonnes in 2020 to 14,701 tonnes in 2024, while foreign trade revenues are expected to rise from US$2.5 million in 2021 to US$61.4 million in 2024. “The growth in meat production and exports reflects the government’s commitment to increasing production and creating markets in the livestock sector,” the report said.

Alongside infrastructure development, the government is also committed to supporting farmers through skills training and better services.

Within the scope of Comprehensive Breeding Training (BBT), a total of 240 young people were trained in livestock management, while 764 workers were assigned to local governments to support farmers.

Milk production also recorded significant growth from 3.1 billion litres in 2020 to 3.97 billion litres in 2024, while the number of dairy cows increased from 1.2 million to 1.4 million.

The report emphasized that progress was made in agriculture as well as livestock, and stated that fish exports increased from 167,256 tons in 2020 to 199,387 tons in 2024.
