Google has launched an AI cyber security program to help start-ups attain their potential. The cyber security program is an initiative under Google’s Start-up Growth Academy. It is designed for tech start-ups that are leveraging AI technology within the cyber security space.

The program will cover key areas like sales, strategy, and how to navigate growth challenges. Also, start-ups will benefit from practical and mentorship skills that are crucial to successfully operating in a competitive business environment.

In addition, the program will help start-ups with access to Google’s cyber security and AI tools tailored specifically to suit their needs.

The application for the AI Cyber security program is open from now till December 3, 2024. To be eligible, start-ups must be using AI technology to solve cybersecurity issues, including prevention, protection, research, and threat analysis.

Also, they must be offering a product or service that has the potential to reach a large market while leveraging AI technology. They must also show evidence of traction through funding, user-base and revenue generation.

AI technology is attracting a lot of attention across the world. Investors, tech companies and governments are committing huge funds into the sector. In fact, the Nigerian government recently announced an AI initiative valued at $1.5 million. However, erratic power supply and low internet penetration remains a big hurdle to AI development in the country.
