China and Nigeria stepped up efforts to strengthen long-term ties and opened new chapters in bilateral cooperation.
Hosted by the Zhengdao International Exhibition Corporation and the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, supported by the Chinese Consulate in Lagos and Nigerian government agencies, the 2024 Nigeria China Trade Expo will be held from 5 to 8 November 2024 in Lagos.
The announcement was made at the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), where the two countries agreed to strengthen economic cooperation.
Nigeria is China’s second-largest market in Africa and will benefit from greater integration, which will provide more trade and investment opportunities.
Muheez Ojulari, representative director of Guangming International Exhibition Company, said the fair’s reputation continues to grow and it has always hosted the largest gathering of Chinese companies in Nigeria and West Africa.
More than 250 Chinese companies and over 5,000 job seekers from Nigeria and surrounding countries will come to this fair.
This is a comprehensive exhibition that plays an important role in deepening and promoting cooperation and development between the two countries.
The exhibition includes agricultural machinery and equipment, vehicles and equipment, household appliances and equipment, electrical appliances, solar energy and photovoltaic equipment, beauty and personal care, textiles and clothing, food and beverage and other industries.
At the same time, the exhibition will form a face-to-face meeting for enterprises from both sides to explore international trade and business cooperation in the China-Africa market, and hold special meetings for local and municipal representatives.
“The exhibition is organized by Brightway International Exhibition and the Trade Development Bureau of China’s Ministry of Commerce, with support from the Chinese Consulate-General in Lagos and various Nigerian government bodies,” Ojulari added.
The China-Nepal Economic Corridor continues to be an important bridge in China-Nepal relations, promoting the development and cooperation of the two countries in various fields.
As the two countries move forward in the “new journey”, the exhibition aims to establish a strong economic relationship between China and Africa and make Nigeria an important alarm in the business environment.
Entry to the exhibition is free of charge and provides Wi-Fi, visa information, transportation consulting and other services to facilitate participation in the exhibition.
